Triathletes and Runners

Sarah has a particular interest in the rehabilitation of fellow runners and triathletes.

She has been a keen runner for a number of years now, competing in numerous road, trail and fell events from 5km to ultra-marathons. Her most notable achievement is having proudly competed as a GB Age-group athlete in standard distance duathlon and middle distance triathlon at the 2017 European Championships. By gaining a bronze medal in the duathlon, she has pre-qualified for the 2018 championships in Ibiza.

Sarah understands the physical and psychological difficulties faced by athletes overcoming injury; not to mention the challenges that come with trying to balance work, family and social commitments with a demanding training schedule.

The secret to successfully avoiding musculoskeletal injury/returning to competition following injury, is load management, i.e. not doing too much (or too little!) too soon. With this in mind, Sarah works closely with the fantastic coaches at Triathlon Coaching UK (TCUK) to offer a comprehensive service to triathletes of all abilities.

Services offered;

  • Injury rehabilitation
  • Injury prevention advice
  • Biomechanical screening (relating to the demands of swimming, biking and running)
  • Running gait analysis and retraining
  • Preventative and rehabilitative strength and conditioning programmes
  • Close, regular contact with coaches at TCUK to advise on appropriate training load relative to injury
  • Access to watt bike assessments, swim analysis, and nutritional advice via the additional services offered by TCUK
